April Ferguson, Apro Accounting & Tax Services’ owner, has been a professional accountant since 2004, managing the day-to-day financial operations of compa-nies and property, analyzing data and implementing process improvement to drive additional gross margin dollars and cut expenses.

Ms. Ferguson founded Apro Accounting and Tax Services in 2004. Apro Accounting specializes in tax prepa-ration for individuals and companies; payroll services and general bookkeeping for small businesses.

Ms. Ferguson is a highly motivated, dedicated, and resourceful profes-sional. She is also known to her clients, employees and colleagues as an effective communicator and process driven problem solver. She utilizes those skills to help build and manage the wealth of her clients and to serve the Greater Cincinnati community.

Corporate Experience and Small Business Acumen
At her last corporate position, before she took Apro Accounting full-time in 2015, she started as a staff accountant and advanced to con-troller. During her seven-year tenure, she saved the firm more than $1 million, through innovations and more effectively tracking expendi-tures and income.

Always professional and personable, what sets April apart from other accountants is her demonstrated commitment to her clients’ financial success. Whether it’s personal or business finances, April is determined that her customers meet their goals.

“For small companies, our firm can function as their accounting depart-ment. We do bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements, sales and use tax calculations and payments, setting up accounting software and managing it and payroll services,” Ferguson said.

Apro Accounting also provides individual tax preparation services – federal, state, city and amended returns for prior years.

“Having grown up in a home where one of my parents had severe men-tal illness, and then raising my son for many years as a single mom, I know what it’s like to have gotten into financial messes,” April said. “That’s why I established NBA, a customized and individualized plan, designed to help those with out of control debt and spending stabilize their financial lives.”
